My history, My introduction to what got me here.

A work project gone wrong, an over-eager people pleaser with no history of mental health, shaking on the floor unable to control myself.

A moment that changed my life but it wasn’t the cause. I’m not a therapist, psychologist, or even a counsellor, i’m someone who’s live through some things, dropped the bag, picked it up again and started listening to myself. I hope my journey can show others and de-mystify the way through, actual lived experience of borderline personality disorder, shame, regret, remorse, sleepless nights and so much more.

Mental tools, no crystals required.

Not poking fun at anyone else journey, just making it easy. I have a long history with meditation, in-fact all the way back to being 5 or 6 years old. I have a history of trouble sleeping and used meditation as a way of shutting down and getting some relief. I will discuss several methods and techniques that work, no hokum, no crystals, no belief needed. I will explain what I do, what worked for me, why I continue. Again i’m not a therapist, im not on a mountain, i’m not a guru, just a 46 year old guy living in Canada trying to get by. No access to real therapy and still had to make it work, CPTSD, Depression, Anxiety, it wont fix any of these things, but it does help, I can show you that.

Time to listen, nobody is coming to save you.

Feel your hands, a simple, effective exercise, lets go through this together, this is a strategy to create some space between you, your thoughts, and the body.

I know the feeling, I get here too, lets create a space, a gap, simply notice your hands, sit, stand, lay doesnt matter, try to just feel that you have hands or feet, feel them, lets grab something, pick it up, feel it.

This wont take away the thoughts, panic, anxiety or emotion, it lets you create a gap, an opening where you aren’t thinking, 1 step in the right direction. Now you are in the body, you are feeling not thinking, what else do you feel in the body ? tension ? can you try to let that slow.
